Lacar Musgrove, a native of Louisiana and long-time resident of New Orleans, is a professional writer and New Orleans public historian. She has been researching and writing about about late 19th century cycling culture in New Orleans since 2009 and is the world’s leading authority on Victorian-era bicycle clubs in New Orleans. She holds an MFA in creative nonfiction and an MA in history, both from the University of New Orleans.
